Lucy Doherty’s professional practice has spanned over the past ten years with a string of projects that have allowed Lucy to develop immense versatility as a performer and showcased her as a creative talent to take note of.
As a choreographer Lucy is being recognised for her fresh choreographic approach fusing contemporary dance with sleek commercial appeal. Lucy excels at conveying authentic stories through movement on dancers of all levels of dance ability.
Recently recognised by international creative directors The Squared Division (Katy Perry Witness Tour, Britney Spears, Bebe Rexha) who brought Lucy on board as a choreographer for Channel Seven’s Dance Boss in 2018 for which she choreographed multiple highly praised & high scoring routines for the show.
This year Lucy has been working with Courtney Act, again under the creative direction of The Squared Division, Lucy choreographed the international drag superstar’s music video “Fight For Love” and her performance for “Eurovision Australia Decides” which was televised on SBS and streamed across the world.
Lucy has also been nominated and shortlisted for a prestigious "Australian Dance Award" for Outstanding Achievement for Dance on Film for her self produced short dance film “Mandala” in 2017.
With a promising choreographic career still rapidly on the ascension, Lucy adores working with people to create impactful dance narratives for screen and stage. She is caring, kind, highly professional & passionate about her work, utilising her years of experience as a professional performer to enhance her understanding & communication between talent & creative teams.
