Benny Darsow is one of Australia's most in-demand live standup comedians.
Originally from Adelaide, Benny delivers a playful & engaging brand of conversational standup that has audiences consistently laughing out loud.
In between his busy schedule at sea, Benny still maintains a regular presence within the top comedy clubs in the country as both a host & headline act. Over the past decade, Benny has become a favourite at The Sydney Comedy Store where he regularly hosts their showcase lineups & also presented his solo show in the 2025 Sydney Comedy Festival. From 2015-2019, Benny presented a fresh solo show each year across Australia's festival circuit, receiving numerous 4 & 5 star reviews within the Melbourne Comedy Festival, Adelaide Fringe & Perth Fringe World.
Earlier in his career, Benny established a well-regarded presence within WA that led to regular work in the comedy clubs of Perth, extensive regional touring, FIFO community entertaining, corporate function comedic relief, Fringe World festival award nominations for Best Comedy in both 2016 & 2017 & even a commercial breakfast radio opportunity with Mix 94.5FM in 2015.
Benny has also built international performing experience with multiple visits to the US & Canada between 2014 - 2024, several weekends performing in Kuala Lumpur at the infamous Crackhouse Comedy Club & a brief stint in the UK working the Jongluers comedy chain.
Benny has a broad appeal in the corporate market as both a host & feature act that is reinforced by his Bachelor of Commerce (Adelaide University 2004) qualifications, NBL1 basketball experience with the Woodville Warriors (2008-10) & pennant golf involvement for Kooyonga Golf Club where he has been a member for 25 years & still maintains a scratch handicap.
