Since he first set foot on stage in 2001, James Keating has carved out a niche as New Zealand's master of one-liner comedy.

Nominated for the prestigious Billy T Award for comedy in 2009, and with appearances on TV2's Pulp Comedy and A Night at The Classic to his name, James has unleashed his clean stylings on audiences throughout New Zealand and Australia. He's performed six solo shows at the New Zealand International Comedy Festival, as well as solo shows at the Dunedin Fringe Festival, Christchurch Comedy Carnival and Hamilton Fringe Festival.

In 2025 James performed his solo show 'Autistic Flair' - about his late-in-life autism diagnosis - to sold-out audiences throughout New Zealand.
