Jeremy has a long history as a performer, playing lead roles in many plays and musicals, including The Buddy Holly Story, High Society, Sweet Charity, Hello Dolly, South Pacific, and Light in the Piazza. Most recently appearing in the 2022 Australian tour of American in Paris. As well as creating the Hugo Weaving role of Tick in the original production of Priscilla Queen of the Desert- the Musical on which he wrote his first book, Year of the Queen - a biography about the making of the show.
For TV he’s performed in many Australian TV staples including The Newsreader, Jack Irish, Wentworth, The Dr Blake Mysteries, Winners and Losers, and recently in the feature film, Relic.
In 1999 he retrained as a film maker and formed his own media company, Storybox Films for which he co-wrote and directed his award-winning debut feature film, The Sunset Six. Since then he’s moved back into stage work, directing Gordon Frost’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Into the Woods and Rent for BAPA, and Dr Miracle and First the Words, Then the Music for Gertrude Opera. For the Production Company, Jeremy assisted director Roger Hodgeman on A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder. In February 2018, he released his first novel titled, Rapture.
