Johnny Kats has been performing Stand Up comedy professionally for well over a decade. Johnny was a comedian on the radio network NOVA 100 FM for five years in the week-nightly radio show "Johnny & Jody NOVA 9's nights show". He was also a regular 'fill in' for Dave Hughes in the breakfast slot.

Johnny was a support act for American comedian Dave Chappelle at the Boston Comedy Club in New York City (2004) and also supported Eddie Izzard in London in (2012).

Johnny has performed sold out shows at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and has won numerous awards for his stand-up including Australia's popular, "So you think you're funny" (2004).
