Steve Carlin has emerged as one of the most exciting jazz crooners in is homeland of New Zealand. With his rich baritone voice he has performed at numerous festivals and events across NZ, Australia, the Pacific Islands and Europe.

Steve has over 25 years experience in the entertainment industry. His versatility means he is able to perform in a wide variety of settings, from intimate cocktail bars and restaurants, to theatres and large outdoor events.

Steve can transform a room. His flexibility means he is able to switch from a background ambience, to centre stage and commanding a full dance floor with ease. His engagement with audiences is natural, effortless and a huge part of his success in providing entertaining and enriching experiences for everyone.

He has performed at a multitude of events ranging from FIFA World Cup qualifiers, movie premieres, celebrity weddings, and more. He also has vast experience at providing entertainment for corporate clients and private engagements.

Recent theatre shows include the lead role as Frank Sinatra in NZ production “Sinatra Lives!”, plus musical comedy production “Vegas Nights” and NZ production of “4 Legends” as both Frank Sinatra and Neil Diamond.

Steve recently teamed up with NZ’s premiere big band, the Rodger Fox Big Band, to record and release his debut album “All you need is me”. Mixed and mastered by grammy award-winning Los Angeles engineer Talley Sherwood, the album debuted at No.14 on the NZ Music Charts (Official Top 20 NZ Albums) in July2021 and received significant air play on national radio across New Zealand.

Steve headlined the NZ National Jazz Festival in 2021, and continues to perform with the Rodger Fox Big Band, as well as with smaller ensembles such as septets and trios.
